That’s the pic I sent my husband on our way to the vet. 40min later we were on our way home, parked at a red light when a guy lost control turning in front of us, fishtailed & headed right for us. He smashed into us on the driver’s side headlight.We got hit weird. It moved us diagonally. My girl Freya was pushed full-on across the car. Across the backseat to the other side. But the seatbelt stopped her from slamming into the door. So she is completely fine.I could be petting her with tubes sticking out of her right this very moment. Trying to dig out if I can afford to save her life. But I’m not. I’m making her breakfast. Just like normal. That’s only because of this seatbelt. I am beyond grateful for the quality of this product.Thank you for saving my best friend.I have a large 70 lbs female German shepherd and a 2017 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited. The line was not long enough for the large sized seatbelt. My dog could barely sit up straight. Shepherds have long torsos, so I was concerned that this would happen. I went to Lowes and bought an 800 lbs rated clip that fit perfect to the car seat ring, which gave us 3 extra inches.With the extra clip she can now sit up and move to her left side and right side, yet it is short enough to keep her from moving too far forward.Overall this will be great for our car trips. She no longer flies to the front and I no longer have to use my “mom seatbelt” which allows me to keep both hands on the wheel.Works wonders for my little escape artistThe Small was too short for my pup. He is only 22 lbs but long. The quality was exactly what I was looking for. He is a chewer and it seemed chew proof, easy to use and super durable. I returned it but will repurchase. Waiting for a medium to come back into stock.Took the fur baby to her vet appointments and it has kept her in place, really easy to install, and didn’t interest her to chew on. All in all a good product.I went through manyyyy of the cloth versions of this product before I came across this one. Not only is it chew proof (a must with my doberman), but it also has a clip to clip directly into the anchor typically used for children's carseats. It completely removes the possibility that my dog will step on the seatbelt buckle and it will come unclipped. I've bought one for both cars and highly recommend it.We have three large dogs in a confined back seat space so each dog needs to stay put. These gave us a sturdy option for containment without confining them. I really liked the swivel on the carabiner so they could move and reposition easily. The only thing I would have liked more is for the carabiner to be a bit larger so I could fit the back strap into it easier.10/4/19I purchased the Mighty Paw car dog harness & the Mighty Paw 32" cable leash, installed it today & I love it already.I've struggled this past 1.5 years to find a working solution to comfortably secure my small-medium 33 pound dog. My dog is too dog-gone smart and figured out how to click out of the leash version that secures into the seat belt latches by the 2nd car ride! Every car ride after, without fail, my dog clicked out until I gave up and let her ride loose in the back.Securing a leash/belt to the child seat anchors inside the seat ended up being a no-go as well once I put a car seat cover to protect my car from all the sand/mud/hair that my dog would track after visits to the dog park. Running the car seat leash through the cover's buckle opening defeated the purpose of the seat cover as a lot of the sand/dirt would get through that opening!My dog riding loose in the back always made me uneasy though as I know from first hand experience that in an accident *knock on wood*, things happen quickly and unsecured items/people/living beings become missiles.FINALLY, I saw Mighty Paws' leash/harness combo on Amazon. The combination of the longest 32" cable leash with the harness allowed me to leash my dog to the child seat anchor in the back of the car (going behind the headrest). Though meant for a large dog, the longer cable allows my small-medium dog to just barely be able to lie down while anchored to the rear child seat anchor. Smart design in having the harness/leash buckle placed lower on the back to brace my dog across her chest rather than across her neck.One "con" is that I wish the plastic buckles were metal (like the d-ring & the ring behind the neck). Otherwise, the harness seems well-made and I plan to use it as my dog's regular every day harness.My mind is at ease now while traveling with my dog in the car (for a reasonable price too!), thank you Mighty Paw!It appears to be a good investment for my Staffy cross, she chewed through her material seat belt. Disappointed the carabina clip is plastic. Thought they would have made the carabina clip of metal given the seat belt lead is twisted steel.Super strong and unchewable.
